Job summary

Volvo Cars is seeking a Senior Supplier Performance Manager in the United States to secure supplier readiness and stable performance from sourcing through serial production. You will be the senior technical lead for interior components and injection-molded parts, guiding cross-functional recovery activities and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.

You will mentor teams, own supplier performance across quality, delivery, capacity, and launch readiness, and drive risk mitigation,

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• Minimum 7 years in automotive supplier quality, development, or launch roles.
• Experience with interior parts and injection-molding processes.
• Proven ability to lead escalations and influence cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and develop Supplier Performance Managers with feedback and guidance.
• Own supplier performance across quality, delivery, capacity, and launch readiness.
• Identify risks and drive mitigation, escalation, and accountability plans.
• Collaborate with Global Category teams to support sourcing and performance strategies.
• Conduct supplier assessments, audits, and performance reviews using risk-based approaches.
• Lead corrective actions and verify effectiveness before closure.
• Drive supplier cost-saving and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Serve as senior technical expert for interior parts and related molding processes.
• Lead APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC activities and capacity verification.
• Ensure traceability between requirements, characteristics, risks, and controls.
