Zusammenfassung

Volvo Cars is seeking a Senior Supplier Performance Manager to secure supplier readiness and stable performance from sourcing through launch and serial production. You will lead as the senior technical and operational expert for interior components and injection-molded parts, driving cross-functional recovery and representing the function with stakeholders.

You will mentor teams, lead APQP/PPAP activities, manage escalations, and push continuous improvement across quality, delivery, and cost.

Qualifikationen

• Technical university degree in engineering, manufacturing, quality, materials or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years automotive experience in supplier quality, development, manufacturing engineering, launch management, or related fields.
• Experience with interior parts and injection-molding processes is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Mentor, coach, and develop less-experienced Supplier Performance Managers.
• Own supplier performance for quality, delivery, capacity, launch readiness, cost, and continuous improvement.
• Identify risks early and drive mitigation, recovery, escalation, and accountability plans.
• Partner with Global Category teams to support sourcing and supplier performance strategies.
• Conduct supplier assessments, audits, and performance reviews using a risk-based approach.
• Drive corrective actions and verify effectiveness before closure.
• Lead supplier cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
• Lead structured problem-solving using 8D and root-cause methodologies.
• Drive readiness for new product launches, process changes, and capacity increases.
