Job summary

Volvo Group in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer for Body in White. You will lead supplier readiness from sourcing through APQP and PPAP, ensure launch readiness, and manage BIW supplier parts with a focus on quality and capacity verification.

The role requires strong APQP/PPAP, PFMEA, and quality systems expertise, plus IATF 16949 knowledge. Travel up to 50% and collaboration across Purchasing, Engineering, and Operations are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in automotive supplier quality, industrialization, or related roles.
• Experience with BIW, stamping, welding, and associated manufacturing processes.
• Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, and supplier audits.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 and automotive quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier industrialization from sourcing through APQP, PPAP, launch and stable production.
• Manage a portfolio of BIW suppliers and parts.
• Assess supplier capacity, capability, quality systems, tooling, and launch readiness.
• Review process diagrams, PFMEAs, control plans, and PPAP documentation.
• Lead supplier audits, risk assessments, and escalation management.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Engineering, Operations and other SQEs.
