Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. in Portland, Oregon is seeking a Senior Specialist, Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure delivered products and services meet contractual and internal quality requirements.

You will work with suppliers on Early Supplier Engagement, First Article Inspections, root cause and corrective action, and Return‑to‑Green activities to drive quality improvements. The role requires frequent supplier engagement and regional travel, with the ability to obtain a U.S.

Qualifications

• Degree(s) as specified or equivalent experience.
• Experience in aerospace or QA methodologies preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license and insurability.

Responsibilities

• Work onsite at supplier facilities with supplier personnel and cross-functional teams to resolve issues related to PO product, documentation, and data packages.
• Review supplier processes for compliance with PO, drawings, specifications, and standards; review and approve FAIs per AS9102.
• Participate in Early Supplier Engagement activities including PARs, readiness reviews, and control plan development.
• Perform supplier investigations and root cause analyses, supporting improvements and corrective actions.
• Prepare reports on supplier quality performance, nonconformance trends, and cost of poor quality drivers.
• Support supplier scorecard and rating processes; lead Return-to-Green initiatives.
• Conduct periodic source inspections and document results per quality requirements.
