Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Specialist, Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure purchased products meet contractual and quality requirements. You will partner with suppliers on Early Engagement, First Article Inspections, root cause analysis, and corrective actions, while coordinating with internal teams to drive quality improvements.

The role requires frequent supplier visits, regional travel up to 80%, and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance if required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 6+ years of related experience, or 4+ years with graduate degree, or 10+ years in lieu of degree.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet insurability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work onsite at supplier facilities with supplier personnel and cross-functional teams to resolve issues and document supplier quality history.
• Review supplier FAIs per AS9102 and ensure compliance with PO, drawings, specs and standards.
• Lead Early Supplier Engagement activities including PARs and Control Plan development.
• Perform supplier investigations and root cause analyses; drive corrective actions.
• Prepare reports on supplier quality performance, nonconformances, and cost of quality drivers.
• Support supplier scorecards and periodic performance reviews; lead Return-to-Green initiatives.
• Conduct periodic source inspections and travel regionally up to 80% and pursue security clearance if needed.
