Job summary

Crane Aerospace & Electronics in Elyria, Ohio seeks a Supplier Development Specialist to ensure supplier systems align with customer design intent and comply with requirements.

The role focuses on driving Lean improvements, supplier improvement, and ensuring quality and delivery commitments while collaborating with sourcing, engineering, and suppliers to support new product introductions and transfers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in Manufacturing Engineering or Supplier Quality/Engineering, sourcing, quality, or program management.
• Experience developing and implementing vendor qualification processes.
• Demonstrated change-agent capabilities with suppliers and internal teams.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA and quality systems.
• Understanding of manufacturing standards such as ISO 9001/14001 and IPC standards.

Responsibilities

• Drive improvements using Lean methodologies and supplier audits to ensure compliance.
• Develop supplier and engineering design changes, capacity studies, NPIs, and transfers.
• Lead investigations of major problems and open corrective/preventive actions with suppliers.
• Collaborate with Engineering to define process parameters and ensure supplier capability meets requirements.
