Job summary

Crane Aerospace & Electronics, Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer in Elyria, OH to drive APQP activities and maintain strict quality controls for aerospace programs. You will collaborate across Engineering, Operations, and Suppliers to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

The role focuses on data analysis, root cause investigation, and action plans, while supporting AS9145/APQP processes and process improvements in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 2-5 years of Quality Engineering experience.
• Experience with APQP/PPAP and quality tools (DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA).
• Aerospace/defense exposure and ITAR familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Suppliers, and Customers to ensure quality standards are met.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret production data to evaluate product quality and identify trends.
• Conduct root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks.
• Support audits and maintain control plans, PFMEAs, and process documentation.
