Job summary

Crane Aerospace and Electronics in Elyria, OH is seeking a Supplier Development Engineer to ensure supplier systems and processes align with design intent and customer requirements. You will verify supplier capabilities and drive compliance through audits, scorecards, and lean improvements.

You will collaborate with sourcing, engineering, and manufacturing teams on NPIs, supplier changes, and process improvements to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions for complex aerospace programs.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 5 years in Manufacturing Engineering or Supplier Quality Engineering.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA and ISO standards.
• Demonstrated change agent with suppliers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive lean improvements and supplier audits to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with sourcing to manage supplier changes and NPIs.
• Lead investigations and supplier validation activities.
• Develop procedures and criteria for supplier process capability.
