Job summary

The DC Government, through the DC Department of Corrections' Education, Programs and Case Management Division, Workforce Development Unit, seeks a Supervisory Workforce Development Specialist to lead the reentry workforce development programs for residents and returning citizens.

This role provides occupational skills training, career technical education, work readiness, guidance, financial literacy, recovery support, and peer advocacy.

Qualifications

• Specialized Experience: 1 year at the next lower grade in the line of progression.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to provide re-entry expertise.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and organizes the operation of workforce development programs including Lead Up Lead Out (LULO).
• Develops and evaluates program goals, policy, and administrative procedures.
• Analyzes program data, tracks industry trends, and ensures alignment with district objectives.
