Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician for its South Bend store. You will support and oversee repair of refrigeration and HVAC equipment, using hand tools, digital tools, and power tools to complete jobs in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires 2 years of experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance, EPA certification for refrigerant handling, a valid driver’s license, and a HS diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large Scale Rack Refrigeration Experience.
• EPA certification for refrigerant handling (Type I/II or Universal).
• Valid state driver’s license with clean MVR.
• 18+ with HS diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility's Refrigeration HVAC equipment using appropriate tools.
• Receive and document repair work orders to support stores and associates.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete required training to operate equipment safely.
• Comply with OSHA and EPA regulations and Walmart safety guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds and work at heights as needed.
