Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead on-site multifamily and commercial construction projects in the Richmond, VA area. You will manage all on-site activities from start to finish, coordinate subcontractors, and drive schedules while ensuring safety and budget alignment.

This role offers a long-term pipeline, autonomy on projects, and a collaborative team focused on quality, safety, and client relationships. Excellent communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience overseeing multifamily, mixed-use, hospitality, commercial or residential construction projects.
• Proficiency with construction scheduling and project management software.
• Knowledge of building codes and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage all on-site construction activities from project start through final completion.
• Lead and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and short-term work plans.
• Conduct daily site inspections to ensure quality standards are achieved.
• Enforce jobsite safety policies and OSHA compliance requirements.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, and project closeout activities.
• Review construction documents, specifications, and project requirements.
• Resolve field issues and coordinate solutions with project stakeholders.
• Monitor workforce productivity and project performance.
• Maintain project documentation, reports, and daily logs.
• Lead project meetings and communicate progress to internal and external partners.
• Manage multiple phases of construction while maintaining schedule and budget objectives.
• Mentor and develop assistant superintendents and field staff.
