Job summary

SL Recruit is recruiting for a Superintendent to lead field operations on large base build or high-end interiors/tenant fit-out projects in the DC Metro area. This direct-hire role offers long-term stability with a reputable GC known for quality work and strong client relationships.

You’ll drive daily site operations, manage look-aheads and scheduling, coordinate subcontractors, enforce safety and quality programs, and collaborate with PMs, architects, owners, and inspectors to resolve issues

Qualifications

7+ years as a Superintendent on large base build projects or high-end interiors/tenant fit-outs.
Strong scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and quality control abilities.
OSHA 30 certification and commitment to jobsite safety.
Experience with Procore or similar project management software.
Clear communication and leadership to manage trades and field teams.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day field operations from mobilization through closeout.
Build and manage the project schedule, including look-aheads and sequencing.
Direct subcontractors and self-perform crews, enforcing schedule, safety and quality standards.
Run a safe jobsite and implement safety and quality control programs.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, owners, and inspectors to resolve RFIs and changes.
Manage inspections, punch lists, and project turnover.
