Job summary

GCS-SIGAL is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead field work on base-building or interior projects in the Washington, DC area, ensuring safety, scheduling, budget, quality, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities include maintaining a safe work environment, coordinating with clients and subcontractors, planning site logistics, managing schedules, overseeing daily reports with Procore, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 10–15 years of experience on $15M+ commercial/industrial construction projects in a superintendent role, or a combination of education and experience.
• Experience collaborating with Washington, D.C. Government Department of General Services is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment and enforce quality control policies.
• Communicate clearly with clients and subcontractors on project status.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage job site logistics.
• Create and update the project schedule and daily reports using Procore.
• Mentor other employees with less experience; conduct weekly contractor meetings.
• Ensure adherence to contract documents and cost controls.
