Job summary

ARCO a Family of Construction Companies seeks a Superintendent to lead on-site construction and administration for commercial interiors. You will ensure safety, quality, and timely project completion, coordinating subcontractors and maintaining detailed progress documentation.

The role requires 3–10 years in commercial construction, proficiency in Word/Excel/Outlook and scheduling software, and the ability to travel across the country. Bilingual English/Spanish is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• 3-10 years of construction experience with a focus in commercial interiors (retail, restaurant, entertainment, etc.)
• Computer skills: proficiency in using Word, Excel, Outlook and project scheduling programs
• Possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in your state of residence
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing or walking for long periods, uneven terrain, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Able to organize people, tools, and equipment and plan/manage multiple activities
• Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to face challenges, direct others, and address conflict
• Exhibit commitment to quality and meeting/exceeding customer expectations
• Ability to travel across the country
• Bilingual English and Spanish speaking is highly desirable

Responsibilities

• The Superintendent manages construction and administrative activities on site
• Bring project to completion on schedule, within budget and per specifications
• Enforce Safety and Quality Control policies and procedures
• Attend preplanning and scheduling meetings
• Coordinate subcontractors to integrate with project schedules
• Prepare and review cost reports and invoices
• Maintain daily project diary and report progress to project manager
• Ensure adherence to company safety program and standards
• Report progress, plans, and issues to project manager
• Communicate with owner representatives and architects as needed
