Job summary

GCS-SIGAL seeks a Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from planning through close-out on site in Washington, DC. You will manage scope, budgets, schedules, and safety while coordinating owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in commercial construction, a relevant engineering/architecture degree, and proficiency with Procore and MS Office. On-site leadership and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

  • BS or MS degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial construction.
  • Or a combination of education and experience sufficient to succeed as a PM.

Responsibilities

  • Actively maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Communicate clearly with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors on risk, schedules, costs, and change management.
  • Manage project controls and procedures; handle owner billing and subcontractor invoices.
  • Provide leadership to the project team and manage pre-construction planning, scheduling, and cost control.
  • Prepare monthly reports on cost, schedule, safety, and cash flow; develop contingency plans for risks.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders; ensure drawings and specs are updated.
