Job summary

GCS-SIGAL in Washington, DC is seeking a seasoned Superintendent to oversee field operations on interior projects, ensuring safety, on-time scheduling, budget control and client satisfaction.

The role requires 5–10 years of interior project experience, a BS/MS in Engineering or Construction Management, and the ability to lead teams, coordinate logistics, read contract documents, and maintain comprehensive documentation via Procore.

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of experience on $5+ million interior projects in a superintendent role, or a combination of education and experience sufficient to succeed as a Superintendent.

Responsibilities

• Actively maintain a safe work environment and enforce quality control policies.
• Communicate clearly and effectively to clients and subcontractors on the status of the project.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage job site logistics.
• Create and implement contingency plans as necessary.
• Create, manage, and update the project schedule.
• Conduct weekly contractor meetings.
• Maintain daily reports and documentation using Procore.
• Oversee project quality plan.
• Resolve jurisdictional disputes.
