Job summary

Clark Construction is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to coordinate field operations in Washington, DC. You will supervise installation work per contract documents and project schedule, ensuring safety standards and quality control are met on site.

The role requires coordinating subcontractors, managing timelines, and supporting recruitment of top talent while maintaining cost effectiveness and adherence to budgets.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or related field preferred.
• 3–6 years of construction management in a field supervisory role.
• Ability to direct work of others including subcontractors and suppliers.
• Knowledge of scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and manpower.
• Familiarity with safety/government regulations (OSHA).

Responsibilities

• Supervise installation of work per contract documents and project schedule.
• Understand area/trade scope and duration of activities.
• Develop plans for equipment utilization and material deliveries.
• Manage field workforce and budget adherence.
• Enforce Clark safety standards and conduct inspections.
• Build relationships with subcontractors and suppliers and recruit talent.
