Legacy Placement Partners is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead field execution on large commercial mechanical projects in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. The role requires over a decade of experience with a mechanical/plumbing subcontractor and hands-on knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems.

You will develop work plans, coordinate with PMs, and manage manpower, materials, and schedule to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of commercial mechanical construction experience.
  • Progressive field leadership experience with a mechanical/plumbing subcontractor.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, piping, and mechanical systems.
  • Proven ability to plan manpower, labor, materials, equipment, and field production.
  • Experience reading construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and coordination documents.
  • Strong understanding of construction safety, quality, testing, and code requirements.
  • Experience leading large field teams and developing field leadership.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Comfortable using standard construction technology for drawings, reporting, documentation, and time tracking.

Responsibilities

  • Lead field teams performing commercial HVAC, plumbing, piping, and mechanical installations.
  • Develop and communicate work plans using drawings, schedules, labor budgets, coordination information, material status, and jobsite constraints.
  • Plan manpower, tools, equipment, access, prefabrication, deliveries, and work areas.
  • Review drawings and project documents for constructability issues and scope gaps.
  • Coordinate sequencing with project management, general contractors, other trades, vendors, inspectors, and commissioning teams.
  • Monitor labor performance, installed quantities, schedule progress, material requirements, and field constraints.
  • Ensure installations meet drawings, specifications, codes, approved submittals, and quality standards.
  • Lead and develop Superintendents, Foremen, and field personnel.
  • Drive pre-task planning, job hazard analysis, toolbox talks, housekeeping, and incident-prevention activities.
  • Partner closely with project leadership to keep projects on schedule and within established labor expectations.

Senior Superintendent – Commercial Mechanical Construction

Employment Type: Full-Time | On-Site

Compensation: $125,000–$150,000 base + annual incentive, DOE

Legacy Placement Partners is partnering with a leading commercial mechanical contractor to identify an experienced Senior Superintendent to lead field execution on large, complex commercial construction projects throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth market.

This is a senior field leadership position for someone who has built their career on the mechanical subcontractor side of the business and understands how to plan and execute commercial HVAC, plumbing, piping, and related mechanical work.

The Senior Superintendent will lead multiple large or complex project teams and will be responsible for translating project requirements into executable field plans while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, productivity, and schedule performance.

What You'll Do
  • Lead field teams performing commercial HVAC, plumbing, piping, and mechanical installations.

What We're Looking For
  • 10+ years of commercial mechanical construction experience

Highly Preferred
Experience leading large or complex projects in:

Healthcare | Data Centers | Mission Critical | Laboratories | Manufacturing | Biotech/Pharma

Experience with lean planning, prefabrication, BIM-enabled work packages, and production tracking is also highly desirable.

OSHA 30 and completion of a recognized apprenticeship or technical training program are preferred.
