Job summary

Blue Origin is hiring a Senior Manufacturing Technology & Vendor Management DFX Engineer to own end-to-end evaluation of manufacturing tech and supplier/vendor integration for the TeraWave production. You will bridge emerging technologies with volume production readiness and ensure manufacturability, testability and reliability at orbital scale.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical, industrial engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years in manufacturing technology, process engineering, or supplier/vendor management in product development and high-volume production.
• Experience evaluating, qualifying, and adopting manufacturing technologies and managing external supplier capabilities for complex hardware.
• Hands-on supplier qualification, process transfer, technology assessment, and production line integration.
• Demonstrated application of DFX principles (DFM/DFT/DFA/DFR) in moving technologies to volume production.
• Excellent technical documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead evaluation and adoption of manufacturing technologies for satellite modules and subsystems.
• Own vendor and supplier management for manufacturing, including capability assessment and integration workflows.
• Manage supplier BOM and capacity coordination, technology roadmap alignment, and vendor performance oversight.
• Drive supplier first-article inspection, process validation, and manufacturing readiness reviews for ramp.
