Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Process Flow & Control DFX Engineer (Subsystem) to own end-to-end subsystem manufacturing process flow and control design for the TeraWave production. You will bridge subsystem-level production line architecture, process control, and volume production readiness.

This role requires hands-on experience with DFX, SPC, FMEA, and MES/ERP systems, and offers relocation assistance with up to 50% travel as part of a space-scale program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 10+ years in manufacturing process engineering, flow design or production control.
• Experience designing subsystem-level manufacturing process flows for complex hardware.
• Hands-on SPC, FMEA, control plans, MES/ERP, and line bring-up.

Responsibilities

• Lead subsystem-level manufacturing process flow design across satellite subsystems and takt time optimization.
• Own subsystem process control development including SPC, data collection, and MES integration.
• Manage subsystem process documentation, routing, capacity planning, and cross-subsystem coordination.
• Drive design for excellence (DFX) across the lifecycle from prototype to volume production.
