Job summary

Black & Veatch seeks a Staff Substation Structural Engineer to lead design and analysis for substation projects. You will supervise engineers, develop equipment specifications, and ensure quality within budget and schedule.

The role supports hybrid work after an initial period and requires a bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience and active licensure where applicable. The teams operate across multiple U.S.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and a minimum of 5 years related work experience.
• Active PE license is preferred to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements.
• Holds an active engineering registration/licensure where applicable to BV projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design and analysis for substation scopes.
• Develop project specifications and support procurement processes.
• Supervise structural engineers and technicians across multiple sites.
• Coordinate with other discipline engineers and maintain client relations.
• Support project planning, budget, and schedule adherence.
• Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after 90 days.
