Job summary

Asplundh Engineering Services, LLC is seeking a Lead Engineer in the United States (Maine) to lead teams and deliver detailed designs for protection and control of substations. The role emphasizes leadership, planning, and customer collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have 6+ years in relay/protection, a B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology, and preferred PE licensure. Occasional travel and supervision of junior staff are expected.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relay/protection engineering experience.
• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• PE license (Professional Engineer) preferred.
• Familiarity with New England utilities and P&C standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and review Protection & Control detaileddesigns for medium to extra-high-voltage substations.
• Perform detaileddesign of one-line diagrams, SCADA, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
• Lead projects, plan, and coordinate with customers to deliver on schedule.
• Provide field support and occasional travel (Walk-downs, site visits, as-built).
• Train and develop junior personnel and ensure cyber security requirements compliance.
