Job summary

Nexus Engineering Group is seeking a Senior Substation Engineer – Protection & Controls to lead the protection, control, and wiring design for high-voltage substation projects. You will oversee deliverables from single-line diagrams to constructible packages, coordinating with clients and vendors.

This role emphasizes ownership, leadership, and mentorship in a full-service EPCm environment, with travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 6+ years in substation, power delivery, protection and controls, or electrical design.

Responsibilities

• Lead protection, control, and wiring design for HV substation projects.
• Develop relay and control schematics, wiring docs, schedules, and nameplates.
• Coordinate with draftsmen, other disciplines, clients, vendors, and PMs.
• Perform formal checking and lead project delivery where needed.
