GFT is seeking an experienced Substation P & C Designer to join our expanding Power Group in Charlotte, NC. The role involves protection and control design of high‑voltage substations, ensuring safety and reliability through detailed engineering deliverables.

The ideal candidate has over 5 years of relevant experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation, and knowledge of NESC and NEC standards. GFT offers a hybrid work environment and comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant substation or general electrical T&D designing experience.
• Proficiency with computer‑aided drafting tools such as AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Knowledge of NESC, NEC, and IEEE standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute high‑voltage substation projects.
• Generate detailed engineering deliverables under supervision.
• Perform quality reviews of projects completed by peers.
