Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, is seeking an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager with significant experience with substations.

Responsibilities include developing project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives; ensuring profitability; managing client billings and subcontractor payments; coordinating with engineering and construction teams; and mentoring junior project managers. Travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 13+ years of relevant work experience.
• PMP, CCM or DBIA certification required within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Creates project definitions, schedules, budgets and objectives for projects.
• Prepares detailed statements of work with associated work breakdown structures (budgets) and gains concurrence and approval from internal and external stakeholders.
• Manages project costs and is responsible for ensuring profitability.
• Reviews and approves subcontractor/vendor invoices to ensure timely payment to outside resources.
• Monitors project risks and escalates as appropriate.
• Coordinates and monitors the technical work of each task / deliverable.
• Prepares monthly reports and bid packages.
• Mentors less experienced Project Managers.
