Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, is seeking an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager with significant substation experience. You will define, plan, and manage schedules, budgets and objectives across multiple projects, while ensuring profitability and timely client payments.

Responsibilities include leading change processes, coordinating with stakeholders, mentoring junior staff, and delivering monthly reports and closeout sessions. Travel is 10% or less.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 13+ years of relevant work experience.
• PMP, CCM or DBIA certification within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Creates project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives for projects.
• Prepares detailed statements of work with work breakdown structures (budgets) and gains concurrence and approval from internal and external stakeholders.
• Manages project costs and is responsible for ensuring profitability.
• Prepares and reviews client billings and ensures timely payments; reviews subcontractor invoices for timely payment.
• Monitors project risks and escalates as appropriate; manages change using change management protocols.
• Communicates deadlines, assignments, and objectives to project teams; prepares project schedule and construction budgets.
• Facilitates meetings with stakeholders; coordinates with engineering for code reviews and problem resolution.
• Coordinates and monitors the technical work of each task/deliverable; reviews documents for each project.
• Prepares monthly reports, bid packages, addendums; supports closeout and Lessons Learned meetings.
• Mentors less experienced Project Managers; travels 10% or less.
