Job summary

Gannett Fleming is seeking a Senior Substation Project Engineer (Supervisor) to join our Power Group. The role involves leading design, coordination with multiple disciplines, and client-facing activities for substation projects.

The candidate will supervise a team of engineers and designers, oversee proposals, and ensure quality across technical deliverables, with hybrid/remote possibilities for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering is required; MS in Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• 10+ years of utility sector experience.
• Experience conducting Substation Studies and Calculations in​ advanced tools.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of project design documents, criteria, equipment specs, and construction support.
• Supervise engineers, designers, and technical staff; mentor team members.
• Coordinate with Protection, Civil, and Transmission disciplines on projects.
• Act as Project Manager, Client Manager, or Proposal Manager as needed.
• Provide QA/QC reviews and ensure client satisfaction and project health.
