Job summary

GFT is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer – Substation to design and deliver structural steel and foundation drawings for substations across multiple sites, with options for remote work for the right candidate.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, a PE or path to licensure, and 8+ years in design and project management within the power utility sector. AutoCAD, MicroStation or Inventor experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering is required.
• PE license or on the path to licensure is required or desired.
• 8+ years of progressive design, engineering and project management experience in power utilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop substation structural steel and foundation drawings for new and existing substations.
• Prepare structural steel and foundation calculations for substations.
• Prepare specifications for substation structural materials.
• Collaborate regionally to pursue power substation projects and grow Gannett Fleming presence.
• Develop client relationships and work across multiple disciplines across offices.
