Job summary

ENTRUST Solutions Group, a Leidos company, seeks a Senior Substation Engineer near Fort Wayne, IN. You will lead complex substation projects, perform design reviews, and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

Responsibilities include drawings, calculations, and coordinating with civil/structural and automation teams. Ideal candidates have 6–10 years of substation experience, PE licensure, and willingness to travel up to 15% across the continental US.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited electrical engineering degree required.
• Professional Engineer license by exam required.
• 6–10 years of substation engineering experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% within the continental US.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex substation projects from estimation to commissioning, coordinating with internal teams.
• Review and produce physical design drawings (GA, elevations, grounding, conduit, control buildings).
• Perform grounding, lightning, and substation sizing calculations; AC/DC studies.
• Proficient with protection and control design and industry standards.
• Review and produce one-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel elevations.
• Coordinate with civil/structural, protection and controls, and automation teams.
• Conduct site visits, scoping meetings, and monitor project metrics.
• Mentor junior engineers and support project managers and business development.
• Support BUL with training needs and project budgeting.
