Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Substation Project Engineer to lead multidisciplinary design teams and coordinate client relations across major power projects. You will drive technical direction, oversee schematics and design development, and ensure code compliance with agencies on site and in the office.

The role requires a PE license or equivalent, 10+ years of substation experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required; PE license preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of substation design and project execution experience.
• Experience with outdoor substation design, yard layouts and details.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Aspen, ETAP, EasyPower, etc.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design engineers with a multidiscipline team across the project.
• Establish client relations and participate in meetings.
• Assume technical lead within the project team.
• Review with agencies for code compliance.
• Conduct schematic and design development sessions on site with PM.
• Coordinate workload to complete deliverables on schedule.
• Work with PM and Controller on project reviews.
• Direct activities of other engineers and mentor staff.
• Perform other duties as needed.
