Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking a Substation P&C Engineer with 4+ years of experience to lead complex utility-scale substation projects in Fort Worth, TX. This is not a remote role, and the candidate will take a senior technical capacity within the P&C practice.

The role involves producing comprehensive P&C design packages for voltages up to 500kV, leading project engineers, guiding junior staff, and supporting proposals and client engagements. PE licensure is preferred or obtainable within six months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months is required.
• Proficient with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD; ETAP experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical roles on substation P&C design projects.
• Produce detailed substation P&C design packages and diagrams.
• Lead client meetings and support proposals and tender presentations.
• Perform Quality Control reviews on protection packages.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and develop P&C group standards.
• Perform Quality Control reviews on protection packages.
