Kimley-Horn's Orlando, Florida office seeks a Substation P&C Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join our fast-paced team. This is not a remote position, and the role focuses on leading complex utility-scale substation projects and development within the P&C space.

Responsibilities include senior technical leadership, delivering P&C packages up to 500 kV, client meetings, proposals, and mentoring junior engineers. A PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months is preferred.

Formación

• 4+ years of protection & control engineering design.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (advanced degrees are a plus).
• PE or the ability to obtain within 6 months required.
• I/O mapping.
• Construction documentation / outage sequencing.
• ETAP experience is a plus.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment effectively.
• Fast-paced, challenging environment.

Responsabilidades

• Undertake senior and lead technical roles on project-specific multi-disciplinary teams.
• Lead output of P&C engineering deliverables across offices.
• Lead P&C design from 4 kV to 500 kV with emphasis on 115 kV+; act as Lead Project Engineer where appropriate.
• Produce detailed substation P&C design packages: diagrams, wiring, schematics, I/O mapping, specs.
• Assist in developing policies, processes, standards, and technical guidance for P&C practice.
• Plan and lead client meetings related to P&C.
• Support proposal preparation and tender presentations.
• Perform Quality Control reviews on substation protection packages.
• Mentor and develop less experienced engineers in the team.
