Kimley-Horn's Orlando, Florida office is seeking a Substation P&C Engineer with 4+ years of protection & control experience to join our fast-paced team. This role emphasizes leading complex utility-scale substations and driving growth within the P&C practice.

Responsibilities include leading P&C design deliverables, preparing detailed packages, and mentoring junior engineers. A PE license, MicroStation/AutoCAD proficiency, and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of protection & control engineering design experience.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams on utility-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical P& C design deliverables for substations from 4kV to 500kV.
• Produce detailed substation P&C design packages and schematics.
• Plan and lead client meetings; assist with proposals and tender presentations.
• Provide guidance and training to less experienced engineers.
