Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Senior Substation Designer to support physical design of substations in a hybrid role based near Peachtree Corners, GA. The position requires in-office work three days a week and involves creating General Arrangement layouts, equipment plans, and grounding schemes for complex substations.

The role emphasizes 12+ years of design experience, proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation, and the ability to visualize components in 3D.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of substation physical design experience.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
• Ability to visualize parts in 3D.
• Associates Degree in Drafting or equivalent technical experience.

Responsibilities

• Substation General Arrangement planning and documentation.
• Develop Substation Electrical Equipment Plans and Section Views.
• Prepare Substation Grounding and Conduit/Connection details.
• Coordinate with vendors for design deliverables.
• Perform client facility walkdowns and apply Client standards.
