Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is hiring a Substation Physical Designer in a hybrid role in the United States. You will work with engineers and other designers to produce substation drawings including GA, equipment plans, elevations, BOM, grounding, and conduit details.

You will also interpret vendor information, perform walkdowns, and ensure adherence to client standards. The position requires a minimum of 10 years in substation physical design, relevant drafting education, and proficiency in AutoCAD or

Qualifications

• 10+ years of substation physical design experience.
• Associate’s Degree in Drafting or equivalent with drafting coursework.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
• Ability to visualize parts in 3D without computer aid.

Responsibilities

• Prepare substation drawings: General Arrangement, Equipment Plans, Elevations, BOM, Shielding, Grounding, Conduit and grounds details.
• Incorporate vendor information into design deliverables.
• Perform walkdowns at client facilities.
• Apply Client's standards to the work.
