Job summary

FirstEnergy Corp seeks a Senior Manager to lead Substation and UG network operations across Massillon, Alliance, Mansfield, Marion, and Springfield. The role emphasizes safe, reliable electricity delivery, regulatory compliance, and budget management in a dynamic, 24/7 environment.

You will guide leaders, engage with union partners, and drive continuous improvements while upholding FirstEnergy values and safety commitments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; 10 years of relevant training/experience will be considered in lieu.
• 7+ years in electric utility industry with leadership capacity preferred.
• Experience administering collective bargaining agreements and HR policies is desirable.
• Strong leadership, safety culture and change management abilities.
• Ability to analyze complex issues and develop sound procedures and controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety culture and empower employees to own safe behaviors.
• Coordinate with peers, staff and union leadership to foster safety, inclusion and accountability.
• Initiate and monitor safety and environmental safeguards per regulations.
• Provide leadership to plan, organize, direct and review regional operations across Massillon, Alliance, Mansfield, Marion, and Springfield.
• Manage budgets, staffing, performance targets and benchmarking for safety, reliability and customer service.
• Respond to regulatory inquiries and customer concerns; oversee operations and maintenance budgets.
