Job summary

FirstEnergy is seeking a Manager of Operations to oversee Clark, Hartstown, McDowell and Clarion service centers. You will lead a 24/7/365 operations team, ensuring safe and reliable electricity delivery within regulatory and budget guidelines.

The role emphasizes safety, DE&I, ethics, and customer service, with a focus on guidance to field teams, union relations, and succession planning. Strong leadership and regulatory compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years’ experience in the electric utility industry, leadership preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; in lieu, equivalent training/experience.
• Experience administering collective bargaining agreements and HR policies.

Responsibilities

• Foster a high-performing safety culture and empower employees to speak up.
• Lead, direct, and provide technical guidance to regional operations.
• Plan, organize, and control the work of the operational group to meet goals.
• Coordinate response efforts for emergency outage restoration.
