Job summary

The Perry Group, a CDM Smith company, is seeking an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager with significant experience with substations. Responsibilities include defining project scope, schedules, budgets, and ensuring profitability, as well as managing client billings and change control.

This role requires leadership across engineering disciplines and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Thirteen (13) or more years of relevant work experience
• PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification is required (within 12 months of hire or promotion onto the Approved Project Manager list)

Responsibilities

• Creates project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives for projects.
• Prepares detailed statements of work with associated work breakdown structures (budgets) and gains concurrence and approval from internal and external stakeholders.
• Manages project costs and is responsible for ensuring profitability.
• Creates and reviews timely client billings with internal billing support and follows up on payments.
• Monitors project risks and escalates as appropriate.
• Coordinates and monitors the technical work of each task/deliverable.
• Prepares monthly reports and bid packages.
