Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, is seeking an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager with extensive substations experience to lead complex projects in the utilities sector. You will define scope, schedules, budgets and manage profitability while coordinating with clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities include preparing detailed statements of work, managing costs, monitoring progress, guiding change notices, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Significant experience with project management methodology, budgets, schedules and controls.
• Excellent verbal and written communication across stakeholders.
• Interpersonal and presentation skills for client interactions.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel for reporting and documentation.
• Understanding of building materials and construction methods for constructibility.
• Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Creates project definitions, schedules, budgets and objectives.
• Prepares statements of work with work breakdown structures and gains approvals.
• Manages project costs and profitability.
• Prepares and reviews client billings and ensures timely payments; approves subcontractor invoices.
• Drives change management and tracks project risks and status.
• Sets and communicates deadlines, tasks and objectives to the team.
• Prepares overall project schedule and in-house budgets by group.
• Facilitates meetings with stakeholders and coordinates submittals.
• Mentors less experienced Project Managers.
