Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group is seeking an Engineering Manager - Substation to lead design teams, provide engineering expertise, and support field operations across projects in the Quanta Services platform.

The role requires a strong background in electrical substation engineering, 10+ years in the electric utility sector, and a PE license. Travel up to 25% and collaboration with external partners are essential aspects of the job.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• P.E. license is required.
• Extensive experience in high voltage substation projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee projects from inception to completion, including planning, design, construction support, and closeout.
• Supervise a team of engineers, designers, and support staff, providing guidance and performance evaluations.
• Ensure projects stay on budget and schedule with cost-effective solutions.
• Apply engineering standards including NEC, NESC, IEEE and ANSI.
• Travel up to 10–25% as required by projects.
