Jobot is seeking a Senior Substation Engineer in Winchester, KY to lead design and upgrade projects for high voltage substations. The role offers a full relocation package and a permanent on-site position with comprehensive benefits.

You will collaborate with Protection & Controls, Transmission, Distribution and field teams to deliver safe, reliable substation solutions. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in substation engineering, strong SCADA and electrical drawing skills, and a PE license is

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of substation engineering experience.
• Proficiency in SCADA, AC/DC schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and standards.
• PE license preferred.
• Willingness to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high voltage substations including protection and control systems.
• Prepare calculations, drawings and specifications per project requirements.
• Perform system studies and coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
• Develop SCADA architecture and logic.
• Review AC/DC schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors and stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Oversee site inspections, installation, testing and commissioning.
• Identify and resolve engineering issues to optimize substations.
• Stay updated with industry trends and regulations.
