Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• PE license required at hire.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in substation or power delivery engineering.
• Experience with electric utilities, transmission and distribution, or power industry clients.
• Strong understanding of substation equipment, protection philosophies, and utility standards.
• Proven ability to lead technical tasks and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of substations (69kV–500kV) and review complex designs.
• Develop drawings, layouts, bus configurations, grounding, wiring, and supports.
• Perform electrical calculations: ground grid, short-circuit, relay coordination, AC/DC design.
• Prepare construction drawings, specifications, reports, and material lists.
• Coordinate with protection, control, SCADA, and field teams.
• Ensure designs comply with utility standards and project requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and mentor designers.
