Job summary

You will apply IEEE and NESC standards, develop calculations, sketches, and BOMs, and manage schedules and budgets while ensuring client satisfaction and adhering to QA/QC guidelines.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with 7+ years of substation experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Demonstrated critical thinking and collaborative teamwork.
• PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead substation projects from concept through completion.
• Develop design packages including arrangement, protection, grounding, and lighting.
• Prepare calculations for insulation, station service, DC systems, and cable sizing.
• Prepare sketches, estimates, BOMs, and other deliverables.
• Apply IEEE, NESC, and other standards.
• Perform field inspections on utility systems.
• Lead complex assignments and develop new processes or methods.
• Identify and resolve project issues.
• Manage schedule and budget under supervision.
• Ensure QA/QC and client satisfaction.
• Engage with clients to build relationships.
• Lead proposals with schedules and budgets.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
