Job summary

Viridan Group is seeking a Substation Engineering Manager to lead design and engineering for a pipeline of utility-scale projects. You will own end-to-end technical work from design through commissioning, coordinating with procurement, construction, and project teams.

Qualifications include a BSEE or related degree, 8+ years in electrical engineering with deep substation experience, and strong knowledge of HV/MV substations, protection, and control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in electrical engineering with deep substation design experience.
• Experience leading engineers, consultants or multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong HV/MV substation, protection and control knowledge.
• Utilities, transmission, generation or renewables background.
• Working knowledge of IEEE/ANSI, NEC and NESC.

Responsibilities

• Lead substation design and engineering across a multi-project portfolio.
• Own one-lines, layouts, grounding, P&C and equipment specs.
• Manage and review the work of external engineering firms.
• Collaborate with utilities, vendors and internal teams to meet specs and schedule.
• Support projects through construction, testing and commissioning.
• Develop engineering standards and QC processes.
• Mentor and develop engineers.
