Job summary

Genesis Staffing is seeking a Lead Substation Electrical Engineer for a long-term opportunity with a major EPC firm in Reading, PA. You will lead substation design for 69kV+ projects, perform power system studies, and coordinate a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires a PE license in the United States and 12+ years of substation design experience. Occasional site travel and QA of deliverables are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 12+ years in substation design.
• PE license in the United States is required.
• Experience supervising engineers and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with applicable local and international standards and codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead substation design for high-voltage projects (69kV+).
• Prepare specifications and support procurement.
• Create engineering drawings and layouts for substations and switchyards.
• Perform power system studies: load flow, short circuit, coordination.
• Provide QA of deliverables and client interface.
• Supervise engineers and coordinate team efforts; travel to sites.
