Confidential client seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer – Substation to lead electrical substation design for utility projects at 69kV and above, spanning full lifecycle from concept through EPC delivery.

The role requires PE licensure, 11+ years in substations and utility experience, and a track record coordinating multi‑discipline teams; hybrid work after onboarding is available, with travel to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Single disciplinary lead experience for electrical substation design.
• Utility client experience on substation projects.
• Experience with 69kV and above high-voltage substations.
• Full life cycle project engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (accredited program).
• Minimum 11 years of related experience.

Responsabilités

• Lead and coordinate substation projects up to 765kV in detailed design and EPC delivery.
• Develop protection & control deliverables (relays, panel arrangements, one-line/three-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, wiring)
• Develop physical design deliverables (yard layouts, grounding, lightning protection, control buildings, auxiliary power systems)
• Prepare engineering calculations and study reports (AC/DC load, grounding, lightning)
• Perform and oversee QA/QC review of substation design packages
• Prepare equipment specifications and Bills of Materials (BOM) for procurement and construction
• Manage design budgets and schedules; coordinate with utility clients, vendors, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary teams
• Mentor junior engineers and support business development activities
• Travel as needed to client offices and project sites
