Job summary

Dewberry Engineers Incorporated is seeking a Physical Electrical Engineer to lead the growth of our medium and high voltage substation design practice in the Fairfax area. You will mentor a high-performing team and deliver critical projects for utilities, government entities, and private institutions.

Leading the technical and strategic direction, you will oversee equipment layouts, grounding, conduit systems, and lightning protection while ensuring safety and constructability.

Qualifications

• Twenty years of experience in medium/high voltage substation design.
• PE license required.
• Experience with NEC/NFPA Life Safety Codes.
• Proven leadership in engineering and design staff.
• Experience with regulated utility substation design standards.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to develop and capture new business.
• Lead and coordinate Energy PMO leadership and client managers.
• Oversee design deliverables and project budgets.
• Manage multi-discipline teams and project financials.
• Establish design standards and mentor staff.
• Provide technical leadership for substation design.
