Job summary

Dewberry is seeking a Senior Physical Electrical Engineer in Birmingham, AL to lead the growth of our medium and high voltage substation design practice. You will build and mentor a high-performing team while delivering impactful projects for utilities, government entities, and private institutions.

Qualifications

• BS in electrical engineering (required).
• 20+ years of experience in medium/high voltage substation design.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Knowledge of NEC/NFPA Life Safety Codes and related standards.
• Strong leadership and team-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to develop and capture new business.
• Coordinate with Energy PMO leadership and client managers.
• Develop responses to proposals and qualifications, including cost proposals.
• Serve as Project Manager for complex projects and manage budgets.
• Oversee multi-disciplinary teams and ensure design quality and safety.
