Job summary

Dewberry is expanding its Energy Market Sector and seeking a Physical Electrical Engineer to lead the growth of our medium and high voltage substation design practice in Denver. This leader will mentor engineers, oversee design packages, and ensure safety and constructability across projects for utilities and government entities.

The role emphasizes talent development, standards establishment, and driving the growth of Dewberry's substation capabilities, with experience in protection and control

Qualifications

BS in electrical engineering.
20+ years of experience including medium/high voltage substation design.
PE license is required.
Experience with NEC/NFPA Life Safety Codes and other related Codes.
Strong verbal and written communication.
Leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Meet with clients to develop and capture new business and coordinate with PMO leadership.
Lead and mentor multi-disciplinary teams on HV substation projects.
Oversee design deliverables, ensure constructability and compliance with standards.
Manage project scope, budgets, and schedules.
Develop design standards and drive innovation within the substation practice.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver quality projects.
