Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, seeks an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager with deep substation experience to lead complex projects. You will define scope, schedules, and budgets, coordinate bids, and ensure profitability while guiding engineering disciplines and stakeholders through project delivery.

Ideal candidates have 13+ years of relevant experience and PMI/ CCM/ DBIA certification within the first year.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree
Thirteen (13) or more years of relevant work experience
PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification is required (within 12 months of hire or promotion onto the Approved Project Manager list)

Responsibilities

Defines project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives for projects.
Prepares detailed statements of work with work breakdown structures and gains concurrence from stakeholders.
Manages project costs and ensures profitability.
Creates and reviews client billings and ensures timely payment; approves subcontractor invoices.
Monitors project status, risks, and escalations; manages change using established protocols.
Communicates deadlines, assignments and objectives to project team members.
Prepares overall project schedule/timeline and in-house budgets by group responsibility.
Coordinates submittals and meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
Mentors less experienced Project Managers.
Prepares monthly reports, bid packages, addenda, and contract modifications.
